The Playful Brain by Richard Restak.. Problem solving really does keep your brain alive and elastic. I can no longer look askance at my mother as she attacks her Sudoku puzzles with the appetite of a lion taking down a zebra. The good news is that little boxes filled with numbers don't spill a lot of blood.
